Just came in from Scott over at FI Audio today! 1000WRMS each and it fits in my ZEnclosure box and likes the small enclosure! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!

I've never heard of FI Audio, but I have personal experience with the box in question. Unless those subs perform super well with very small spaces, I don't believe that you will enjoy the sound. Like I said, this is with the standard ZEnclosures understrut box.

FI audio subs are getting phenominal reviews all over the Car audio forum boards. In fact I have not seen ONE negative review.......this Q series is made to fit in a .2 to .6 cuft box. Read the specs on the link I provided.
And Scott who owns FI helped to develope RE subs. It's a great sub!

They'll sound excellent in a small box if you have a good amount of power. They have more than enough motor and coil to overcome the lowend rolloff with some EQ.....whether or not you will blow apart the Zenclosure remains to be seen

If you are looking for a nice sub that can fit in a small enclosure... Small sealed calls for 1.5 cuft and is not "power-hungry".

The Fi sub isn't power hungry either ... it has over 1.5x the travel of the Arc sub listed above ... so it needs more power to be fully utilized. My comment about power really was alluding for his need to EQ the bottom end of things in a small sealed box. Low end boost = lots of amp needed.

27mm of xmax in as small as a .2 cub feet box...i have GOT to see the response graph on that
it would be neat...but from past experience, a lot of sub manufactuers claim it will work in tiny boxes, but the word "work" means different things to different people. the one sub tha ti really do like to use in tiny boxes is the image dynamics IDQ, i have stuffed a idq10 in a .35 cub feet sealed box and the -3 db was below 20hz...
but stick it in the zenenclosure box and get back to us as to how well it works...

I hope you have plans to upgrade your alty.
Congrats on the purchase, you are correct, those will sound great in a small enclosure. (SQ) Just make SURE that the subs are divided by an inner wall.
27mm of throw? Nice.

I would rather have had 12's but I'm not giving up on space! So this is my best choice.
Scott said that with 900 WRMS to each sub it will be very loud and fairly low with .65cuft. And like I said earlier he should know........he was instrumental to the engineering of all of the RE line of subs!
Stay "tuned" !

Also Fluid1......just ordered a custom built 190 amp alternator yesterday from Wrangler along with a secondary Hawker battery. Plus I have a 12 farad stinger cap to hedge my bet. I'll also be running nothing but 1/0 AWG from the alt. and hope that covers it!

Likewise We're always talkin about the LA/SD guys meeting up to show off some audio stuff and it never happens .. I'd love to see some of the crazy stuff some have done on here....haven't been to a Z meet in almost 2 years

Hum,,,My Zenclosure, dual 10 box does not have a divider..Now, I have the regular enclosure,,not with the amp rack. Not sure if that makes a difference. Dont want to hijack thread,,but just curious...I think those FI subs look good,,,hum,,more curious as to the sound in the Zenclosures...
