I don't think I saw a firm answer on the question about the V1 unit location...it's still mounted on a visor, windshield or somewhere in the car, right?
You're not eliminating the need to keep the unit in the car, powered and with a direct line of sight to front/rear...or please correct me if I'm wrong.
