I have a 03 base and here is what i did:
1)went to radio shack and got another power outlet (cigaret lighter plug) and ran a power and ground wire through the center console and drilled a hole for it to go in under the dash on the passenger side.
2) got the Z bracket and a hardwire cord and just ran the hardwire cord down the right A- Pillar, to the new outlet under the passenger side.
3) since the base has that little "flipper" thing to dim others headlights, i hade to rig up a mount from my radar so it will clear the flipper thing.
Pm, me if you want some pictures. b/c its a little confusing.

The male end of the suction cup bracket fits loose into the detector slot. If you put a bow in the suction cup end so that it is a tight fit into the detector slot, that takes alot of the rattle out. Plus push the bracket all the way into the slot.
