None of the above. JL is the most overrated audio company in the world.

before this degenerates into a flame war. i vote options 1 or two, the last options makes no sense... the first two options,t he dual w3s may get a little louder if you have the air space, but if it were up to me, i would go wtih option 1.
on the note of JL...
this is my fair opinion of JL:
1. quality stuff up and down their line, i will never say one thing bad about JL's quality or performance, everything works well and sounds decent.
2. because of their name recognition, they can afford to, and perhaps rightly so, to charge a little bit more than some comparable product out there. this means, you can usually get more performance for less money than JL, or at the very least, same performance for less money or more performance for equal money. how you want to interpret that is up to you. but JL is FAR from being "the most overpriced brand in the world" but it is also FAR from being "the best"
3. their line of standout products that IMO and compares better to other stuff offered by them...and my honest opinions are:
subs: prolly the best of what JL makes, good quality, good performance. Justwell buitl stuff overall. Their W6 or W3 is prolly the one i recommend more than the w1 or w7, the w7 is a great sub, but pricey, and requires bigger enclosures, and mounting is a pain. I prefer say an IDMAX over the w7 becuase of these reasons.
Amps: Decent quality stuff. a lot of flexibiltiy being their strong suit. Decent relaibltiy record. Though i think there are amps that work a little better than their prices. But again, if you like the name, and flexibility, there is NOTHING wrong with going JL.
Speakers: Not too shabby, though nothing outrageously special either. Cost wise they are acutally not bad. VR i do like as a low/mid level component set. XR is not bad either, being one of the few metal tweets i can tolerate. THe ZR i think is good too, though at that price range i can think of others that i enjoy listneing to more
Wire: Excellent stuff through out...not much to say abou that
Cleansweep: also a great product for its purpose
Stealthboxes: good stuff, good fit and match, some contruction aspects may not be as good as a good custom built box, but it gets the job done.
thats it...a honest as i can put it

I heard choice number one before. if properly tuned, this setup will sound suuuper clean. this setup is nice for a clean sound but if u like alot of hard hitting ear blowing bass then this might not be enough.
Out of those choices, I voted for option #1.
But i agree with 16psibrick - that there is nothing OUTSTANDING or BEST about anything JL makes. JL is good quality and solid and you will be happy.

I run a car audio store and JL is WAY over priced...the best company for power and price would be JBL and Rockford Fosgate...you need to do 1 Fosgate T110D2 and a Punch 550.2 amp.I'd give you a hell of a deal im dealer direct with Fosgate. Also the JBL power series is what i run in my Z...i have a MKII 12" GTI with a JBL 1201.1...the JBL Power series line for $200 a woofer is the best sub on the market hands down...when you pay $200-250 for a plain looking JL audio subwoofer for 1...

JBL 12" GTi

Glad to hear you like the GTi's Shift2win ... I have been running them for a while now and everyone that hears them loves them ... most just never get the chance.
I'm currently running 2 10" GTi on a 2200.1 .. I had 3x12"s but I just could handle the space loss.
