Yes,

8019 does not have nav built in.
It has 5 Volt Pre-Outs.
It has more Switched outputs.
USB input is 2 I believe.
And More selectable Backgrounds.

The DDX8019 will also do DVD-Audio, but will downmix it to two channel. Plus since it is an Excelon unit it will have 2 Year warranty if purchased thru an authorized dealer.

Sirius... Or XM

You can do both at the same time if you get the direct plug in from Sirius and XM Traffic/XM unit via Nav Gm-Xm30

You can actually do both units using the Direct plug in for Sirius and Direct plug in for XM. All you need to use is the KCAS-220A. This is a swiching box that gives you two changer ports form just the one the unit has.

It will work, but you might still need the KCAS-220A if you plugging in other external media devices into the changer port. Example would be changer, Bluetooth adaptor, HD radio, etc.

I haven't been able to find much information on what you can do when you add a Farenheit screen. What I want to be able to do is use the Kenwood to display the controls for a iPod video and having the Farenheit showing music videos. Does anyone know if you can this?

YES and NO.

7100 will give you Video output for i-Pod / DVD / or Line Input..

So you can send the DVD Player video to Second screen... And Play I-Pod through the 7100...

Once in I-Pod viedo mode screen displays the Video automaticaly and you can Fas forward and rewind just by pressing the right side or left side of the screen.

Ok, I want to send the I-Pod video to second screen, mostly because it would be in a more visible location. If you send the I-Pod to the second screen can you have the 7100 displaying its GUI?

Is there any way to connect the rear view camera and switch to it whenever you want to versus it coming on when you go into reverse?

I've been browsing through the pdf manual~ But to get the bottom line, is there anything the new D3 does that this wont? Besides multi color backlighting

I was about to order a D3, might rethink if the 7100 is more attractive in all ways except cost.

did I read correctly? it uses 2v preouts

You can add a toggle switch and activate it that way. When you flip the switch it thinks you are puting the car in reverse and activates the camera.

Or you can use a Y-Adapter where the video signal comes in from the Camera and plug it in the Line-In for video. This way you can select ot with the V-Select button on the deck.
