Can you load songs onto the ipod shuffle from windows media player? If not can I transfer songs from windows media player to Itunes and then onto the player. Sorry for such a remedial question but I am Ipod ignorant.

I don't know about the shuffle, but I use musicmatch jukebox for organizing my library, and itunes has access for the purpose of syncing up the ipod, but that's basically it. You just need to tell Itunes where to look, and when it asks if it can take over your library click on no.

 

you can also just drag and drop the songs in.....
