will adding a sub give me 50/50 weight distribution?
is it necessary? You can do the math for it yourself. But, in realy, F/R weight distribution doesnt mean as much as R/L weight distribution and the actual distance that the distributions are set. For this reason, a mid engine will have a wack distribution, somewhere like 30/70, but itll 'handle' better because the heavier things like the engine and transmission are closer to the center of mass, which matters more.

not unless that sub is a couple 18s w/ a couple piles of sand bags on them...
its 53/47 the weight is actually designed 2 shift 2 the front when entering a corner, etc. so itll handle better. it wouldnt really make a difference, as long as u dont add a 250lb box in the trunk

o yea thats right, if i added more weight in the rear, that means i would have to remove some weight in the front to balance it out. haha wut a mistake

then ud buy an rx7
the 53/47 **** from nissan is all bs. Its because they couldnt get 50/50 without changing up the frame. 50/50 and 53/47 isnt all that much of a difference, and the center of gravity shifts much further back and to the outside while turning out of a turn.
i just switched from my custom 1 10"stealthbox to the jl pro wedge W3v3 box (in front of the strut bar), and i really feel like my handling is way off. also it ways so much, i feel like im towing a boat. if it didnt fit so perfectly and hit so hard i would take it out.
