sealed enclosure: smaller box requirements, easier to build, better low frequency extension (sub say 30 hz)
ported enclosures: larger box, harder to build, more bass, espeically at the port tuning frequency, but bass drops off harder below the port tuning frequency.
in the Z, for the sale of space, i almost always build sealed enclosures, with the hatch back gain, its easy to get a lot of bass int he Z, with relatively little need for ported boxes...
