I don't know what the plug is for, but I know how you feel. I bought used and when I went to do my stereo install, found all kinds of crazy half @ss stuff. I just don't get how someone can be so stupid.

Alot of times manufactures will use designs/wiring that are universal for the same car, just different models. It's mass production. When you choose a model that is equipped with a feature that can utilize the plug, it'll be plugged in. If not, it just sits there.

It could be wiring for heated mirrors. They weren't available on the Enthusiast until '05 when the became stock on all models.

+1, I was going to suggest this as a possibility. The heated mirrors I think we an option back in 03.........I think. If they were, I want to get them to retrofit on my performance model.
