Cable running question.
I have stereo cable running along the side of the car. From each door, I ran cables under the carpet next to the door trim (want to fit it under the trim but couldn't) to the glove box where my amp will be installed.
Question: I ran a 4 awg from the battery into the car, which comes in from the passenger side. NOW can I run that under the carpet next to the passenger side speaker cable? Or do I need to run it down the center where the shifter is? I know you have to keep the power away from the RCA cables, so is it the same for the speaker cable?

i just ran my 8 guage wire down the trim of the passenger side, and is it just me, or does everyone LOVE how nissan made this car, this is my 5th car, and never have i seen a car that unclips and unsnaps and clips back into place so easily, hell, half of the time, i don't even need a manual to look and see how it comes apart, even the center dash removal is easy, ok,,, back on topic now. run it down the trim, i couldn't put too many cables next to the shifter, just for safety reasons. i would hate for that thing to get lodged underneith the shifter
I ran two 4 guage wires down the passenger side and into the glove box where my amps are. I then ran 2 RCA and 4 12 guage spearker wires up the center console.
I would highly suggest keeping all power wires away from signal wires (RCA and speaker). You may not notice any interferance if you ran them side by side, but if you do, you will have to tear it all apart and re-run everything. Easier to do it right the first time.
If you have any questions, let me know. I will also be posting pics of the install so far, which might be of some help to you

RCA signals are unamplified, and are more subceptable to noise collection, as the noise is then amplified along with the signal. Speaker cable carries the amplified signal and any additional noise collected should be virtually unnoticable.
