how to change the speedometer?

Question how to change the speedometer?

Hello!
Where i can search a software to change my kilometer's in speedometer with a obd (miles for you )

Sounds like he just wants to make the digital readouts in his dash display stuff in terms of miles rather than kilometers.

Noooooooo

My speedometer is broke,i buy a used speedometer and i want to change the kilometer for legal street use

anyone us a software with obd??? I search on the web but no result for 350Z..just for german car (audi mercedes bmw vw...)

Its common practice when importing a RHD vehicle from Japan into the UK. I used this www.speed-mate.com. http://www.ncs-systems.com/prod/1457 de-limits the car and converts ALL km/h readings to mp/h

But it s not this i do explain (excuse me for my bad english,im french)

If my car have 25000kms and i sell a used speedometer of 350z crashing who have 12000kms,after install of used speedometer,my 350z says 12000kms or 25000???and exist a software to buy on net to modify the mileage

it reads from the ECM... it should read hte actual milage of the car.. not what the used OD says

Ok Doug,thank for information!

And do you know if software exist to change milleage??? It s not a probleme for german car, it s possible for nissan?

The ECU does NOT hold the mileage information. It is held in the dash itself. I don't believe there is presently any software that can change it.

oh sorry for the mis-information..

you know what... i should have known that I swapped a built motor into my motorcycle with a new ECU and new everything and my ODO is still the same.

Yes, if the odometer is changed, the mileage is changed.

However, its almost always possible to trick the wheel sensor into adding mileage to the odometer. Maybe search google.
