2007 350Z Satellite Radio Receiver...
I just bought a 2007 Z Touring a couple weeks ago (w/ Bose 6-disc in-dash CD). I had a Kenwood KTC-SR901 Sirius receiver in my old car, which I pulled out before trading it in. Since the Touring model is pre-wired for satellite radio, I figured I should be able to keep the same receiver and hook it to the wiring in the car. I asked the salesman if that was the case (I wanted verification before I started the install) and he said he wasn't sure if an aftermarket receiver used the same type of connection as the wiring kit that was installed in the car.
Has anyone installed an aftermarket satellite receiver using the pre-wired satellite radio kit in the car?

I asked the same question. I wanted to install my factor Sirius radio to a new Kenwood HU and the answer I got back was that it was no possible. I don't if they told me that to sell me a new unit or they did not know for sure and gave me the most convenient answer or they correct.
It would be good get an unbiased answer from this Z community.

It wont work. There are no input jacks on the stock HU. I looked the other day to see of I can make it work. Unless you wire tap into it but I have no idea what wire does what. I just use the xm roady xt with the fm transmitter. The stealership wanted around 300 bucks for the hook up kit.
This is why I'm going aftermarket for the HU. I can get a nice clarion for 200, Satellite receiver for 50, and steering wheel controller for 60. However I will have to soak up the 6 bux a month for a second subscription, but worth it to me so I don't have to drag my starmate between vehicles. Finally gettin rid of that lousy sounding FM transmitter.
