Default installed avic-d3.... have an issue

I'm using the factory speakers. After installing the d3, i noticed the rear speakers are very quiet, even when faded all the way to the back. I messed around with the audio settings quite a bit but was not satisified. They just seemed much louder with the factory unit. Are the rear factories different from the front.. different ohm loads?

How can i fix this problem, or is it just in my head.....

edit: 2006z, stock non-bose

I know the ohms of the non bose rear speakers is 32ohms. They are very faint.

factory speakers have high resistance, purposely for soundstage to be kept more focused up front. Your options are to replace them or ditch them

I wanted a little rear fill,,,,I replaced my rears with a $100 set of Alpine 17C coaxile rears. When changing to a 4ohm speaker you will hear the difference.

I have the headunit faded mostly to the front with just a small amount of rear. I only power the rear with the headunit,,,my front stage, and subs are amped. The rear suggestion's are up to you. Some take them out all together,,,some have them set up as I suggested..I hope this helps

I just had the Eclipse 6610 put in and I'm definitely not satisfied with the sound to the back two speakers...

I too like to have my sound a lil faded to the back...

But, with the stock I would have it to around 23-25 volume level and it was great... I'm in the high 60's, low 70s out of a possible 80 with the Eclipse and still no satisfied by the loudness...

So the only way around this is the take the back factory speakers out and put in new ones?!?!??!
