Yes, I get comments all the time on how stock it looks:

Some questions you need to answer before doing your project.
1) Do you want video display only?
2) Or, video display plus navigation?
3) Do you want touch-screen support?
4) Do you want NTSC/PAL or RGB?
5) Is your plan installing a car-pc?
Basically, you will swap out your 2004 cubby for a 2003 cubby. Here is a good thread to read as a starting point for your reseach.

After reading the above thread, you will want to do a search to see other options. Tell your gf you are busy tonight.

I'll actually be posting a thread pretty soon with pics of my install. Screen install is just like the DUKE and PUSH's, but am using a single-din Kenwood KDV-412 dvd/cd player.. great functions on this unit and only paid upwards of $200 on ebay for it! Not the sexiest thing out there, but I actually modded the surrounding bracket from the "whatever" kit I had to keep it looking flush with the interior and get rid of that "bright silver/metallic" bracket they provided (FUGLY!) w/the HU..
otherwise, it looks pretty good IMO. Unit has bluetooth, ipod capability, 4V pre-outs, many, many nice features for $200-$300 and is a high-quality Kenwood product. I might actually be thinking of letting it go, I know, I know.. I only had it for like 2 days! But if interested hit me up on PM. I just want that Navtraffic capability especially with going back and forth to school, but "apparently" you can only get that with the "fancy, shmancy" upper end double-din models that are like $800+ the price of this unit! Contacted XM/Kenwood/Crutchfield, etc, etc and they say this is the case for whatever reason.
The monitor: Kenwood LZ702W touchscreen (~$350 shipped), where I have navi going in, dvd going in, and a rocker switch to go back and forth between the navi/dvd display on the screen. Of course you have to buy the KNA-G510 navi unit (~$350-$375 shipped) which is "directly" compatible with this monitor.
Again, hopefully will find some time to post pics this weekend, but there's a couple of great suggestions, as I think was already mentioned

Takhteh, if you want nav traffic all you need besides an XM subscription and this antenna, the KNA-G510 (nav brain) supports xm and fm traffic. I thought about doing the traffic thing, but I didn't think it was worth the 310 for the antenna:

Takhteh, you have the info on the rocker switch? Is it as simple as hooking a switch up to the reverse wire, and telling it to use a specified input when the reverse signal gets grounded? Although I may do it and get an xm subscription and get a cheapish head unit so I can route the screens audio out to the speakers and listen to xm and the navigation voice over the speakers instead of using it's internal speaker.

i think the only solution is to (1) buy a higher end hu or (2) buy both antenna, one for XM radio and one for navtraffic, but connect the XM radio piece directly to the HU. also, i don't know if XM will be able to handle such a setup, i.e., would they charge me double each month for the two antenna? i dunno.. it sucks, but am not sure i'm even going to go this route. navi is good enough for now, i guess
I did the 03 conversion, just know that the door is a different color though, a graphite color. It is even possible to switch the doors but that takes a bit of fabrication of little random parts out of stuff laying around the garage (at least that is how I did mine).
I have some pics here of what mine looked like before I switched the door.

Here's my (pretty cheap, but very functional) setup:

Farenheit Screen = $80-100
JVC CD/DVD/MP3/WMA/USB, etc. HeadUnit (Don't know model off top of head) = $200-300
Install = the cost of a few screws, some adhesives, and an hour or so of time
Displays video when I want it to, displays CD or MP3 CD info when listening to music, so works for me...
