AVIC-D3 Install Guide
I have done the bypass and confirmed that it would allow me to view while in motion. However, I still get a message stating that the unit detected an improper e-brake connection or something. Is this normal? Also, the backround looks like a bunch of grey lines going from left to right, I think it's because the e-brake message I was getting.
sup guys, didnt know this was still alive. someone asked about how to get the perfect fit as far as mounting goes. Ill add some updated text regarding drilling wider holes on the bracket. unfortunately i didnt take a photo of the bracket after drilling, but it did look like war zone.
otherwise, im glad this has helped some.
rock on guys.
ps, if anyone wants to add some info to the original post, PM it to me, ill be happy to post it with credits

Did my install I can't seem to get the PAC-SWI PS to Program.
I followed the instructions and properly soldered the resistors to the corresponding pin # and nothing.
What I don't get is why we have to solder the resistors to a connector that is not used on the avic D3?
Can anyone answer this please. I have 2 white connectors and a brown connector left over.

can u still view video while driving or set directions while driving? i recall having this message and it was cause my bypass had become disconnected. i believe it was the mute wire, it came loose.
i miss my D3!

I have an AVIC D3 and in the stats menu it says the E-brake is on however when I start moving it says its not connected properly. Could this be due to the VSS wire being hooked up? Or maybe my yellow mute is wrong too...anyone?

Great write up. I am using this write up to install a Z2 in my 05 350z. Some of the wiring used in the write up I do not have in my car. I am looking for the yellow and black mute wire and do not have one. So what would be the mute wire in my car? Also the VSS wire?
Here are some pics sorry they are blurry.

Not to steal this threads thunder by any means, it really helped me out a lot. I did make up another related to the BOSE part of the install using a PAC ROEM-NIS2.
I wanted to make a link in this thread so it could be found by others down the road who are searching just as I was a few days ago.
If anybody has a problem with that, I will be happy to delete this post, only trying to help.

Well, I will have to try the karate chop later. Also, where can I get one of those magnetic pads?
My 03 cubby wont go back all the way, it gets in to the dash about half way, and stops. I'm gonna rip it out in a few days and re-do everything.

I was skeptical to do the karate chop at first to but I have to say that it does wonders. If you are still having issues with your cubby going back in Eric you might have some wires that need to be pushed out of the way.
