Default HELP, keyfob sucks

My keyfob only works from like 10 feet away, is this normal? Anyway I can increase the range?

Yeah for some reason my Z's keyfob range is really weak. My 05 Altima can be activated like 100 yrds away but the Z is about 10 feet.

Try a new battery. Mine will work from about 50ft.

hold the top of the remote against the side of your head as you press the buttons. That gets me 3x the distance, no joke

I aim the remote at the car at the same time using the other hand I point my index finger toward the sky.

I have noticed from time to time that my 06's remote is kinda weak. But, normally I am in the habit of clicking it right when I get out of the car and when I am about to open my door.

i want better range, so during the summer i can role down my windows from farther away and give it more time to cool off. Think it has anything to do with me having a shorty antenna or just crap battery?

If you want to mess with it you can open your remote and solder a small piece of wire to the internal antenna spot(and strip a little piece off of the end of the wire so it's bare) to extend the range. But you need to know the exact spot to solder or you can ruin the remote. Be careful because they are not cheap! And change the battery. Make sure to check the date on the package so you know how long the battery has been sitting on the shelf also....
