Z1 has alot of gauge options, but its mostly angular velocity and speed. It won't read your water temp. I don't find it really that useful, but its very bells and whilstle showy.
Look for a thread by KPierson (might be over at my350) - he has something that will display UTEC stuff onto the stock NAVI screen.
Mine displays using Cipher/UTEC/Innovate data on a DigitalWheelz LCD display (car PC)

Basically uses the UTEC logging output to a carputer to a video --> RGB converter to stock Navi screen.
Switching between navi and carputer is done with a KPtechnolgies navi 'OK' bypass module.

The Pioneer AVIC's do some gauge stuff including G-force side-to-side and front-to-back. The ScanGaugeII will plug in and display your water temperature and other stuff like error codes.
