Default panasonic double din no sound

i know how u guys feel about the rsx, but my friend has an 06 rsx type-s. after cutting our hands sufficiently we finally got the dash off and put in a panasonic double din that he bought refurbished from amazon. after installing everything we couldnt get any sound to play from any source whether it was cd or radio. any thoughts or tips on why this happened and/ or how to fix it. it may just be a defective unit but he has a 3 year warranty so if that seems like the problem we'll get that taken care of. thanks in advance for any help. peace

If you're sure you connected all the wires correctly, and there's no amp cancel option in the settings (I had a clarion that you could turn off the headunit's amplifier to use external amps).... then its time for an RMA
