i have a 2003 with navi and about 50% of the time it works and the other 50 it doesnt. i know it will work because i hear the cd loading behind me in the slot. but when it doesnt work the cd never loads. any ideas? thanks in advanced.

 

probably need to take it in to get diagnosed cause it sounds like something is short circuited or a switch is down to its last few breaths

 

I'm in the same boat, the Nissan navi sucks *****!

 

Wiggle the cover door to make sure it isn't turning it off.

 

Does the Navi door work? there is a ribbon cable that connects the door to the gauge cluster. this wire allows the door to go back and forth. If this wire has break in it( the wire moves when the door opens) the Navi will not work. It is park of the navi circuit board... Cost 275 Dollars.

 

yes, it opens witht he push of the button and you ahve to pull it out then down like they say to close it.

 

+1 push the navi door all the way to the open position.

 

Nissan navi is no good indeed. My navi door got stuck few times..
