xenarc or farenheit ~7" screens fit well.

both can be had with AV in, and I know atleast the xenarc can be had with AV in and VGA in.

as for how to get a TV signal into the car, I heard that serius will be broudcasting news shows in a few months, youll need a new reciever, but it would include the video feed.

other than that, donno how to get TV into the car, most with these screens hook them up to a DVD player, nav, or computer.

the 7001 has the most viewing area when installed! The LCD seriously goes from corner to corner! It takes up the entire "hole" in the cubby when installed. some of the other, if not most are not close to that b/c of buttons, dials, inputs, etc are all on the face of them where as the 7001 has them on the rear. for the $$ and perfectly it fits hands down I say the 7001!!!

The Xenarc goes "corner to corner" too. It's buttons are actually below the screen and when installed they are beneath the little plastic horizontal bar in the compartment so they don't take up any viewing area at all.

thanks people.

When choosing an LCD screen, do i have to look at it resolution? Pixel? does it matter?

and the most of all, can it take weather punishment? I am in Malaysia, its pretty hot here through out the year.

I just set mine and forget them. Once you get it set there hopefully won't be any need to do it again. If I had to, I would simply have to remove the horizontal bar (it is removed in the pic I posted above) and play with the buttons, so it would really only be a matter of taking out two screws and removing the bar.

The remote I have doesn't run the screen. It is an infrared mouse for the computer.

No heat problems at all. It is a VGA screen with the plug shown in this thread:

I left the screws out! The bar snaps into place and there is really no need for the screws. When needed (I have used the buttons) the bar pops out fairly easy.

The question is what application are you using it for???

If its just DVD then get the Farenheit and save your money. There is no need to get the VGA Xenarc just to watch DVD.

what's the quality difference(picture) between the farenheit and the xenarc?
If its the VGA xenarc, then you're comparing TV to Computer screen. Higher resolution on the Xenarc.
