If you have Infinity Basslink, please read!?
I'm considering getting the new Infinity Basslink X and wanted to know what those who already have the Infinity Basslink thought about it? I'm not looking for huge boomy bass, I'm just looking for some good low end, that is nice and tight, that will round out my system.
Alpine 7893 (installed)
(4) Infinty Kappa 62.5i (ordered)
Infinity Basslink X (considering)
Also....what's the best way to mount this thing? I would prefer not having to drill any holes in the carpet if at all possible.
Here's a pic of the new, clear, Basslink X

I have the Basslink in my car, I took it out of my X when I traded it in for the Z. At first I was just going to use it temporarily but is sounds really good, and I don't need anything louder. I put it in the back left side, its out of sight with the hatch closed. I really didn't want anything back there because there isn't that much room, so I'm thinking of putting the whole thing in the stock sub compartment behind the drivers seat. I checked it out and it will fit, I think I would just have to dynamat the *&%$ out of that compartment. IMO I would get it.

I'm considering the same, i.e., getting the Basslink and installing it in the stock location with lots of Dynamat and using the grille cover available from Courtesy Parts. Has anyone tried this as an inexpensive bass fix ?

I honestly love the Basslink. I have a thin piece of fiberboard under the carpet that it mounts to. I listen to a lot of rock/alternative music and the Basslink puts out more than enough bass. I also love it because it's easily removable for my track days.

i do not have a basslink but have installed probably around 20 of them in other peoples cars.
IMO you will not find anything that sounds this good in such a compact size.
I was skepticle until I heard it for the first time.

Where did you get the Basslink from?
After reading here about the basslink I may consider as well, where did you buy it though? I see CC has them for $270 but they also go on ebay for under $200 how much is the installation at CC? I am also looking for just a low end fill, no need for a monster... am considering the stock place for it as well...

i am now considering the same but plan on having it installed rather than installing it myself. i dont know about wiring, and splicing and id rather leave it to the pro's.
as far as putting it in the stock bose sub place, im sure you could simply drill a few holes in there, make sure they are relatively equidistant from one another and it should look clean. thats what i might do if the installers dont just tie it down in the trunk area.

if anyone is interested, i can get you the infinity basslink a little cheaper than retail if you are in the austin, tx area. the units are brand new, still in the box. this would be a private sale (i'm not a dealer, retailer.) pm with any reasonable offer.
