OK so i just bought a double din head unit (Pioneer Avic D3) for my 2007 base Z. SO as soon as i sign for it from the ups man i take a look at it everything looks good. So i decide that i'm gona have this unit installed by the pros....but this is were problems start to occur.Every time the installer asks me what kinda of car and what year....as soon as i say 2007 350z they tell me....there is no dash kit out for your car...? Any help?

 

You just tell those wittle bitty baby "pros" that it's the same as the 2006 kit and they have shitfer brains.

It's the Metra 99-7602 for the 2006-up Z's and comes with a double din trim ring.

there are infact two kits...03-05 kits and a 06-07 kit...make sure u get the right one! i had a 04..had my radio in it..then got a 06 and the dash kit didnt work...so had to find a 06

Are the center dash and consoles the same for the 03-06???.......NO! Neither are the kits.

The 03-05 kit is the 99-7402. The 06-up is the 99-7602.

 

Are these 'pros' by chance PepBoys, Circuit City or Best Buy? Everyone knows it's the same kit. Metra's website is probably just not updated yet. Lazy sons of bitches.

Nope, as stated above. There are two kits 03-05 and 06-08. I got mine from crutchfield as well.

 

Radio and ipod functions work normally while using navigation.
