Just noticed Clarion had a vehicle setup for the Z...so I figured I'd check it out. Uhm...last I checked we had...6 (7 with bose) speaker positions? How the?? ...where the?



uhm...12? (4 subs 8 speakers). Its bad enough theres little room...but c'mon. They should make demo vehiclez a tad bit more realistic. Who's gonna want to spend the money they're asking for each n every peice of that thing? Then get it installed? Yah, I can understand its a showcase for their best stuff...but shouldn't they do it so we can hear what most people are gonna be listening to? haha...just a tought

Came across that lookin at HU prices cause I like Clarion. Still deciding what to do first considering my budget is a lil tight. Can only afford either tint/speakers...or a HU...or a VS v1/Nismo wing. But right now car is bone stock...blah! Atleast its a Z...

 

ok, after searchin thru a lot of threads. I've come to the conclusion that a new HU is in order...but this has some drawbacks. I really want to power the speakers with a different amp. (I like Clarion decks and Kicker amps/subs)

Situation: Touring Edition with Bose system

If I buy a HU that doesn't have an internal amp, will the one that came with the bose system be useable? Considering that I prolly won't be able to buy another external amp for about a month. It'd just be a temp solution. So does the bose use regular RCA cabling from the HU to the amp? Or am I fuqed? I haven't seen anyone really talk about it...so I'm at a loss

Would I be better off getting a HU with an internal amp...usin that to power the speakers till I can afford getting myself an external 4 chan. Kicker amp to power my speakers?

Eventually I'm gonna order Infinity Kappa 62.5i's but if I need a HU and another external amp cause the Bose one can't be used. Those are gonna be waiting.
