It is only available directly from Valentine. Sorry.

They do _sometimes_ show up on ebay, but the prices tend to go pretty high AND if it is stolen you will not be able to get service on it. Valentine is pretty good about not servicing stolen units.

It is well worth the $399 in my book.

Just my $.02

Not only servicing but also upgrading. They have a system whereby you can send them your old unit and they'll "pro-rate" it and send you a new model at a discounted price.

It is the best detector on the market and well worth the price.

I ordered the "returned' version and got it for $359.00 I think.

I believe it is 30 or 40 dollars cheaper than the new one but in reality it is new. It came in the V1 box, completely rapped just like a new one, had absolutely not one scratch on it, and works perfectly! And is warrantied just like a new one.

Why pay more?
