Default Drilling on Passenger Side Floor

I want to mount my amp on the passenger side floor, but I am concerned about drilling. Will I drill through the floor, or is there a mount/ cross member anything that you can drill through, or should I put a piece of wood down to drill in to?

BTW, search function returns at least 22 pages when I queried for "Amp drill floor passenger", search titles only, in the Audio forum... nothing too concrete on this question.

Just make sure you don't drill through a fuel or electrical line and you'll be fine. If you're using self tapping screws it should be a pretty small hole anyway.

So if I drill into the floor, I won't be able to look from underneath the car and see that the screws broke through to the other side?
