Default 2007 350Z - Bezel to Cover Head Unit Area

Hello,

I am taking out the head unit from my 2007 350Z and need to find a bezel to cover up the big hole where the head unit once was (marked with the big red X below).

Does anyone know where I can locate one? Nissan parts does not make anything like that. Is there an after-market dealer that may have something?

Thanks in advance!

So you want a blank panel to cover the hole? you aren't replacing with another headunit? If this is correct, that will need to be a custom fab item. Any good audio shop could fab one.

What are your plans? No stereo or mounting in a different place?

Sorry, i guess i should have specified. I am putting a CarPC in so i do not need the head unit at all. The actual pc will sit where the old head unit was so i need to cover up the area so my motherboard, etc is not exposed or visible. The screen will go where the door is that opens up and down so that will be closed off from view when not in use.

StreetOC, you are exactly right. I need a blank to cover that area up.

What would something like that run to custom fab (quality is a must).

Thanks for the replys and interest.

Well i'm not sure about rates these days, but to follow the contour of the center stack and if you want to match the texture, it might run you anywhere from $100-$200 for that panel, maybe even more depending on how exact you need it to be. The shop may make it using fiberglass or maybe they could take a piece of plastic sheet, cut to size and then use body filler to contour to the center stack, then they will have to texture and paint, or cover in a matching vinyl if they can find one.

You could probably make it easier on the shop and come up with some kind of decorative panel instead of matching the dash material.

U could always put a flat peice of plastic or even carbon fiber there and run extra gauges etc.

You could contact tonester1011 and see if he can fab something up in carbon fiber.
