RMS Power Range : 400 Watts
Peak Power Handling: 800 Watts
Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm
Low Frequency response: 47 Hz
High Frequency Response: 150 Hz

i have 2 rockfordfosgates P3 sitting at home from my previous car

Hail NO! I don't always put a lot of faith in stats.......BUT if your sub only hits to 47hz, you're not going as low with your subs as my component set. Save your money and stick with the RF's and spend those 5 bones on another mod.

Well actually the freq. response specs of a subwoofer are the freq. range a driver can play in free air without a change in dB of +/- 3dB. The MTX is rated at 90.6dB vs the Rockford 85dB, so the MTX can lose 3dB in freq. response and STILL be playing that frequency louder than the Rockford. MTX has always rated their subs at the higher dB level because they do play louder in the 'meat' of the freq. range of a subwoofer. I'm sure if they rated at 85dB like Rockford it would probably have a low end extension around or lower than the Rockford p3.

But to the OP, just save the $$ and stick with the Rockfords unless you were unhappy with their performance in the past.
