Panasonic Strada
30GB HDD, 7'' LCD, $720... What am I missing?
I don't need iPod connections, Bluetooth, voice-to-text, or Audio commands...
Is there anything else this piece is missing?

SRP is $1,799, but you can buy it for under $800 from the few retailers who still have a couple of these in stock.
Hmm… maybe dying to a dead-end.
For a couple hundred more you can buy a living, breathing, and vital product.

Spike, I trust your input and appreciate all the feedback you've put into this sub-forum.
I also understand what you're saying. Possibly a reason for the heavy discounts.
I just can't see what that reason is. I'm entirely a newb to this dimension of aftermarket parts.
What do you recommend for something that has premier audio capabilities, with a good NAV - I don't need iPod/BT/etc... Just something that hopefully has enough watts to power some upgraded speakers, provide a nice map (honestly don't care about POI or address entry, or voice command), and is easy to use.
I'm torn.
Oh, and while yes that piece is heavily discounted - they also have the AVICZ2 for $1150, and the DNX7100 for $900. Good prices across the board.

id go for the z2or the kenwood. Your not gonna get the amount of power necessary to power good upgraded speakers. Get an amp with good clean power for those. the new kenwood comes out in a few weeks i think supposed to kick ***.
