350zspl, do you have a source for amp schematics? I need one for an old school Rockford Fosgate Punch 800a2. One of the MOSFETs and probably the bias resistor is toasted. My friend gave me 4 old school amps to fix and they're all cheapies(Targa, Earthquake, ect..) except this one.

Here is an update on the box. Needs finishing coat of paint.
So far I am very happy with the look of the box and the only flaw I have seen on it will be covered by the bondo matched panels that will blend into the sides. I Have not seen it in the car yet. If I put it in and it sticks out like a soar thumb, I will be painting it black to match interior panels.

Haha, I remember that.
Haha, I remember that.
Just going with a rough estimate, the box and shipping will probably be around $1500.
If you are interested, there are a few things to note:
1. Will need a spec sheet of your sub faxed or emailed
2. Can only do a textured finish (the pic is a textured finish, not gloss paint like you would see on a car). The finish is not smooth like a body panel.
3. We are working to finish competition vehicles before Spring Break Nationals right now so it would be a couple of months from now (April or May) before we would be ready to ship.
If you are interested in trying it yourself, I will be more than happy to let you know everything we did and used.
Here is a pic of what it looks like in the car:
I have better pics that I can post if you would like.

When all is said and done, you will only be able to see about 6" of the box from the top. The rest of the box will be covered by a vinyl covered bondo matched floor.

First, the sub pounds!
Unfortunately, I am using the processing from the Alpine D310 head unit until I get the cable to connect my controller to my H701 processor.
The sub sounds great but is crossed over way too high (80 Hz w/ a 12 dB slope - only x-over point the head unit gives me). Once I get my processor hooked up, I will x-over the sub around 45 Hz and I am sure that it will sound great.
Once I get the front stage and panels finished I will post pics.

i like to crossover at 60
there is some mid bass you will cheat yourself out of at 45
46-60 will yeild decent mid bass your 15" can pound
but 45 is not bad
i am doing a 15" as well
new box should be at my door step this week

I am going to go up to 45 Hz on the sub and have my mids cover anything higher than that.
I have heard the Morels that I purchased in a frined's vehicle and they sound ridiculous, so they will handle it.
I will make a bass setting on the H701 and x-over around 50 Hz when I want to get down...
Did you order a new sub? What kind?

50 works perfect and you can reduce to 45 if you do not agree
the Morels are sick
i am going back and forth between a 15" RD Heavyweight DVC 1 ohm and a 15" atomic apocalypse apxx
i have already paid in full for box and sub
let you know which sub i choose leaning toward the atomic
APXX 15
