Default Help! Avic D3 or Eclipse AVN5500/5510

I'm in a little pickle in choosing the right navi for my Z. The Avic D3 sells for $530 shipped, AVN5500 for $650 and the AVN5510 for $800. Have no idea which one to go for. I'm not into to the whole iPod frenzy where I would "need" iPod playback capabilties. What I am looking for though, is good navi and sound quality. The thing keeping me away from getting the Avic D3 (best value) is that when I want to navigate and listen to the CD, I'd have eject the Nav DVD out. Kinda irritating, isnt it? Now if I do get go with Eclipse which one should I go for? Is there much difference between the AVN5500 and the AVN5510 models? My budget is around 800 for just the unit itself. If I can save, great! If not, that's ok too. I'm trying to get the best for my money's worth.

Note: I did have a AVN5435 and that unit had trouble playing mp3 files. It would start playing and then skip multiple times on the same track. I was wondering if the next generation 5500/5510 got rid of this problem.

Care to share where you can get this for $530 shipped? I think it is time to put some income tax return funds to use

Thanks for the details.... I missed the other post that listed this. Anyways I pulled the trigger as the price is the lowest that I have seen it for a NIB unit. I am planning on leaving the Nav disc in with the iPod hooked up. I used to run a car pc in my old ride but this seems much easier to deal with and you get everything.
