Has anyone used this mounting method on a roadster? It seems like the mounting would be OK but the hardwiring of it would be different. Obviously I couldn't run the wire via the headliner and I'd hate to have to tap in to the rearview mirror wiring.

I'm thinking of dropping the wire down to the dash and running it to the power socket on the passenger side next to the cosole.

Any other ideas?

Had the dealer do mine for me. You can't wire into mirror line, cuts voltage and underpowers V1.

Headliner is removable, clean all the way down to converter at fuse box.

I have a roadster. Headliner isn't an option.

Sorry, maybe I called it the wrong name. The ran the wires under that plastic trim that supports windshield frame, I called it headliner by mistake. I've got an LS/BO roadster.

Also, which fuse did you use in your roadster?

Just some FYI

The mirror wires run across the headliner and into the Apillar. Look at the wires on the mirror plug, and you'll quickly find them in the drivers side A-pillar. There you can tap the power and ground, or even better use a bolts right there under the A-pillar for your ground. The power wire you'll want to tap is red and black. This will turn your V-1 on when you turn the key to power on.


I've had it this way on the WRX for a long time now, and no probs ever
