Ok to replace dash LEDs?
Hi gang,
Has anyone replaced their dash/console LEDs with those of another color so the instruments are <preferred color> instead of amber?
I plan on getting an Alpine PMD-B200 nav system installed and it unfortunately doesn't allow you to choose the color if its LEDs (blue), so I was hoping to change the ones in my car to blue to match.
I'm looking to change all the LEDs in the dash/console as well as the ones in the door buttons, steering wheel buttons, climate control dials, gear shift indicators, heated seat buttons and whatnot...basically any visible display light.
This is for an '07 roadster (touring).
Are there any problems with doing this? Can any of these lights not be replaced (or just not look good if they are)?
Thanks for any advice!
Kelson

Thanks for the link! Wow, ok that looks like way more work than I could get done by a local shop for any reasonable fee. Hmm, back to the drawing board. I wonder if there's a way to swap out the LEDs in the nav unit to be amber.
