I’m not sure that I understand the question. If you are asking if you can improve the stock grille in the front door, the answer is yes with a caveat. The problem with the stock door grille is that it is concave, difficult to mount a speaker for staging, and “suffocates” sound. You can improve this somewhat by drilling out all the dimples and making existing holes larger, but you are still left with the “sound-staging issue.” Some people here have made a custom grille for the door that looks great and provides much better sound. A search will show these solutions.

You asked about “the back pillar.” I assume you mean the rear speaker mounts. I wouldn’t spend much effort here since you hardly need the rear speakers. In a two-seat car, it’s the front that you need to focus on.

You didn't ask about tweeter mounting, but that is something else you want to get more information about.

^^ Good advice. To do this search:
  1. Goto MY350Z.COM Forums>Tech Area>Audio & Video
  2. Click on the drop down “Search This Forum” and enter “Tweeters” in the text box, and then click the “Go” button.

That displays a plethora of messages describing various ways to install component tweeters. There is a lot of valuable and useful information in many of the messages you get using this search.
