ack was installn pa11nis and broke top part of stock harn need which colors goto pin
i think i might have figured it out.
pic of default harness wires broke apart.
ok so i was removing the 10pin right side the one that goes in the two black top row.
anyway i wasnt paying attenting and i ripped the top piece off i had been drinking...
anyways i lifted it up and ripped the maile top part out and off the bottom part that they all plug into.
i can still plug in all the 10 pins and had my cd player light up but when u changed to cd it clicked and would blink etc... i tried to rearrange them and now i cant get the player to come on.
the last time i had all 10 hooked up there's 2 on each side of the bottom 10 pin that's 4 wires on bottom. and 6 on top.
if i could just see a default picture of the colors and where they go into the harness i can fix this..... i just dont know wich colors go where
my year is an 04 roadster with stock bose headunit. i've been working on this all day and tried to do a search but cant find it. im not worried about the top piece i just need a pic or
someone to tell me please what colors go in which slot on the 10pin harness diagram i was installing it into the pa11-nis and broke the factory harness male part and the wires came up with it and they are all split so i dont know which wire goes to wich pin!!!

i still hate their color abbreviations and i figured since i know the pin-out i found a harness replacement real cheap so im going to repair it back to stock and not just stick them in and tape them.

lol yeah yeah dustin guess what i've got even more problems now. the gauges arent lighting up illuminating. but all work.. plus the side mirrors wont move now.
it just keeps getting better, lol...
i read somewhere about something about a dimmer. i actually found a thread now too on nicoclub about a few people breaking their harness the same exact way. and having some of the same exact symptoms. everything else works fine it's just these three probs. speedo/digital guage does light up the gauges next to the oil psi and battery all work. the other guages work, they just dont light up, the side mirrors wont move/adjust via the door and the first notch on the headlights doesnt respond. regular and brights work though.
so now i got an even bigger problem.

Ehhh, check your fuses. I'd almost guarantee when you were "experimenting" with random wire combinations you popped a fuse. Shouldn't be a biggie. Hopefully for you, anyway.
That's where I would start looking.

plus this guy has 20+ years experience in electronics and audio install so he's a veteran he's 40 years+ old etc. he was the only place that would even touch it. i really feel like this guy will be able to trace it out and figure it out.
dealership will be my last resort. im not touching anything he told me dont touch anything else and he will look at it saturday morning and get on it when he's fresh.
so im gonna just wait and let him do his thing and keep them fingers crossed.

I can't believe it.
I blew the PA11 NIS all the same.
I guess it ain't built that strong.
Did you find a way to fix it? I'm sitting in front of my blown USA SPEC and wondering...can't take no risk of frying my head unit...
Thanks...
