just installed my system - alternator noise!
Ok - So I finished installing the following,
kappa components(front)/kappa coaxials(back), infinity 5-channel, kappa 10", and Avic-D3. Sounds great, but at low volume a have a terrible alternator whine, I can also hear my radio change source, change station, etc. I Ran rca's down drivers side, power and speaker wires down passenger side. The amp is in the cubby behind the driver's seat - where the bose sub is normally at. I did not rewire the speakers, just ran wire from the amp to the factory harness. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? thanks for you input - matt

Just a suggestion,,after checking your grounds, connections, ect. ect. I would remove speaker wires from pass. side,,,run those down the center console. That way,,,you have everything seperated. Just my opinion,,That is how installed my set-up and have no "whine" or "alternator noise."

check the ground would be the first thing to do. Then the rca and if still nothingbthen cgeck the head unit. Some times that canbevthe problem or even swap the amps out. Ifnit is the head unit you can ground the rca to the head unit.
