Default Need to get my amp out of the sub area. Please help!

I sold my 2006 350Z last weekend. It is still sitting at the dealership. When I sold the car, I asked if I could take my sub box and amp with me and they agreed. The problem is, I got my system professionally installed, and I am not sure how they got my amp in the area where the stock sub is. When I tried to pull it out through the stock sub opening, it was too large to pass through. Obviously, they removed some panels to get the amp in there when they installed it.

My question is, what would I need to do - at the absolute minimum - to get the amp out? I viewed some of the DIYs online and they talk about removing door trim pieces, the center armrest, etc etc to gain access to that area. Is there ANY way to do it in fewer steps? I just don't think the dealer is going to be happy when he sees half the interior trim pieces unassembled.

No other way to do it. You can't get the stock sub-woofer mounting plate unbolted without removing the rear trim panel.

You can't remove the rear trim panel without removing the rear side trim pieces and at least removing screws at the rear end (down low) of the center console so it will lift up enough to pull the rear trim panel out.

Without removing the rear trim panel, you can't even get to the bolts that hold the factory sub mounting plate in place.

If you are handy with a screw driver and are careful, you could do it in 30 - 45 minutes. It would look messy with the panels out and all but you would have your amp back. If you were to hurry too much, you might end up busting some of the fasteners ...

Wouldnt work. There's at least one metal divider between the cubby spaces.

Some tin snips would cut the metal woofer mounting plate if you're strong enough, but they need to be new or really sharp.
