That is in effect doing the same thing as I described using the short pieces of speaker wire. Like attached (pardon my crude paint skills).

i ended up runing the jumper wires. works great! now only if my door panel would go back on...

Glad it worked out for you.

Make sure all of the plastic friction clips are aligned with their holes.

i am referring to those plastic things that hold the door panel on. I don't know the technical term. They do break, but are cheap to replace from most auto parts stores.
