iPod cable port location

Mine is where the ash tray is in the 2003. I might move mine to the cup holder area. I didn't know in the beginning that my CD player did all the controls and I wouldn't need to touch the Ipod once plugged in.
My iPod rests in the nav-less cubby, and surprisingly, it doesn't get all that hot. Easy access for when I want to go in and update the thing w/ new choons.
LOL +1... how the hell does JUST that piece get messed up while the other 10-acres of plastic remain scratch free?!

I have a 06 and I located my connections in the storage area behind the passenger seat. Luckily my headunit can control all of the functions of the IPOD so location options are wide open for me. I bought a faceplate and surface mounted the two USB’s and the two stereo jacks on the plastic tray in the storage area. I can post pictures if anyone is interested.
