Default What do you guys think of this setup?

I'm looking at getting this amp/sub combo for the compartment behind the drivers seat. Not looking for any real "BOOM" just want some good tight bass.

Its a Kicker ZX-750.1 Mono Channel Amplifier and a Kicker S10L7 L7 Sub Car Stereo 10 inch Dual 4 ohm Subwoofer

that subwoofer would be a total waste in the compartment behind the seat. If you are just looking for some solid tight bass, without a ton of boom an entry level Kicker comp or comp cvr with be plenty on 300-500 watss.

Dkmesa, why do you think it would be a waste in that compartment? Not questioning your knowledge just wondering what the reasoning is. I'm an audio newb for sure

from what I've read the smaller sealed compartment will provide less "boom" which I don't give a **** about, but tighter more responsive and more accurate bass

Smaller sealed enclosures will kick great. You need more power for those enclosures compared to larger ported enclosures. I'm with you on the tighter more responsive sound. I used to be all about the boom, but those days passed a couple years ago.
