Searched, but didn't find my answer...
Can DNX8120 shoot out navi to say L702 screen?
I think the answer is no, but I need to confirm this before ordering V500+L702+G510...
Thanks, guys

^^ That’s a good choice. I can tell you with no reservations whatsoever that you are going to love the Kenwood LZ-702W Touchscreen Monitor, teamed with the Kenwood KNA-G510 Navigation Box. Here is what you get with this configuration:
--Spike
- An exceptionally-sharp LCD monitor (even though it is a touch-screen, it delivers a razor-sharp image)
- By far, the fastest GPS guidance (the Kenwood KNA-G510 Navigation Box best feature is its extremely fast performance)

Thanks for kind words.
I did misspeak when I mentioned the Kenwood LZ-702W Touch-Screen Monitor since you are asking about the Kenwood KOS System (KOS-L702 Remote Touch-Screen Monitor and KOS V500 Controller).
In fact, the LZ-702W Touch-Screen Monitor and the KOS-L702 Remote Touch-Screen Monitor are the same monitor and only differing slightly in the hardware configuration (the LZ-702W has its own hideaway box while the KOS-L702 Remote Touch-Screen Monitor connects to one of the two available KOS Controllers).
Anyway… either Kenwood monitor is great by any measure:
If you go with the Kenwood KOS System, you have the ability to add various devices (DVD players, i-Pod, rearview camera, etc.) to the KOS Controller that you control using the touch-screen function in the KOS-L702 Remote Monitor. You can even add the KOS system to an existing car CES (including the Z’s stock OEM CES), and control that with touch-screen operation.
I’m very interested in your project. Please post your opinions after you install your system.

- Terrific touch-screen function

Spike,
Hate to disappoint you, but I misspeak as well when I said L702, I really meant LZ-702W. I did look into V500+ setup, but most of the Kenwood headunits provided enough expandability for my purpose. However, I would love to see someone taking a full advantage of V500 or V1000 system.
BTW, will LZ-702W fit into the 06 center panel (one without navigation cluster lid)?

It really doesn’t make any difference since the L702 and the LZ-702W monitors are essentially the same with the only difference being the control unit. The LZ-702W installation costs less since it has its own hideaway box and spares the expense of a KOS controller. Of course you know that (and it is what drives your decision). I only mention this for the benefit of readers who may not realize the difference between the two.
You can mount the Kenwood LZ-702W touch-screen monitor in any 350z. Your 2006 model requires some minor custom fabrication that any intermediate to high-end installer can do easily and inexpensively.
Please post some pics one you get it installed. I’m sure there are ’06 owners who would like to see the details.
