Do your rear speakers not work at all?
Meaning you can balance it all the way towards the rear and you'll hear nothing?

I lost my left channel and it came back then it went away again. It was really annoying having speakers missing. I slapped in a new deck and its perfect. Mine was a bose system tho.

I doubt that bad speakers could go "that bad."

I suspect it was a wiring or ground issue.
