Question Blown STOCK BOSE System! :(

Hi guys,

Been awhile, but I haven't had any problems with my Z until today! My 05 Z just blew the BOSE Subwoofer behind the drivers seat. I was driving and it kicked in and kicked out, sounded like plastic rattling and now its officially blown. I really like the system I have, don't know if it's worth bringing it to Nissan for repair or just having a car audio place replace all my speakers?

What should I do?

Thanks,
Ryan

are you till under the factory bumper to bumper because my moms bose in her maxima blew and they replaced it under factory warrenty. Also check for people just getting rid of their bose subwoofer in the classifieds and you can pick one up for cheap.

turn that frown upside down and think of it as an opportunity to upgrade your system... Plus the factory Bose did what it sounds like (blows)

Ok ok, but I'd love to upgrade but i've been told my whole car would need to be re-wired due to the BOSE system and I dont have that kind of $$$ right now. Ya know?

It's not broken... That's the normal BOSE sound.

behind drivers seat.

don't "Have to rewire" but it would be optimal.

So I spoke with a car audio tech yesterday and he suggested to replace my head unit and to change out just the subwoofer? However he wasn't sure if I would need to rewire due to what that would require. Can you swap out just the sub? If so...what do you guys recommend? Size, Type, Model? Thanks for everyones help!

I just pulled out my stock bose. It was in the car under 2,000 miles. $20 + shipping, figure $30 total its yours.

If you still have that stock bose sub for sale I would be interested in purchasing it, my stock subwoofer blew in my 05 touring.
