Optima is just a great battery. I use it in my 4WD off-road vehicle for extra reliabilty (you don't want to get caught with a dead battery miles from an established road).

It might be considered "overkill" in your Z; but if you have an elaborate CES, installing an Optima battery is a wise choice.

I have used Optima yellows, reds and blues as well as Odysseys, Exide Orbital Extremes, Exide purple haze and of course my current Kinetik battery. Being an audio guy I have extremely high standards and heavy electrical use when it comes to batteries and charging systems. By far my favorite two batteries are the Odyssey and Kinetik. The Kinetik is huge and will support 1800 watts (HC-1800). Just make sure you upgrade your charging system (alternator) and of course your grounds from the battery if you intend on using the battery to its fullest potential.

Word to your mother.
