Aftermarket head unit/navigation
Hey all,
I have a 350z nismo but im posting in here because i think id get more answers and positive reviews. For one thing, the stock radio is S**t! I understand it keeps weight down but for when the car is not on the track, but i want to be able to listen to some good tunes! My question is, since ive seen other z's with aftermarket touch nav/cd/xm screens, i was wondering what brands or company for this type of setup i should look into, as well as what type of speakers/audio company i should look into. I love this car, and i want to keep it looking as CLEAN as possible, but enjoy crystal clear music on long trips and other stuff, as well. Thanks guys!

In order to understand what you desire in audio quality please explain what characterisitc you don't like with the stock system and what you prefer to listen to.
I feel the stock system is weak in the midrange, is somewhat thin and does not accurately reproduce the human voice. It does do a fair job of reproducing a plucked note of a bass guitar.

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but I've got the Kenwood DNX8120. It has Garmin nav, Parrot Bluetooth, XM/Sirius capable, an extremely good iPod interface, USB connection, 5V preouts, can add rear camera, auxiliary controls (i.e. garage door opener, rear latch release, etc.), DVD, TV capable +++. Basically, it's a monster.
