Default AVIC F90BT Installed Pictures

Hey guys,

Had the AVIC F90BT installed today with XM Radio. Here are the pictures:

The XM and the NAV antenna's on both sides of roof:

Bluetooth Microphone:

Unit:

iPod hidden in between seats... Anyone know what I can use to fill that hole? hahaha:

And just another shot in the dark:

Just updated to Firmware 2.0... Everything looks/works great, just need to find something to fill that hole with.. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Goto an auto parts store and buy a rubber grommet usually used for the fire wall but it will clean it up and look factory----comes in diff sizes.

Nice! Looks good. How do you guys like the F90BT? I've been contemplating on getting this head unit but a little sceptic because of all the negative reviews.

Since you drilled three holes not one, you'll need something bigger than a grommet. Try taking out the console and use some black hot glue and patience.

My quick review?

the bad:
1) Slow start up speed - even with the latest update
2) Slow VR (voice recognition) update every time you plug the Ipod in
3) Very slow multi-tasking issues
4) Small screen

The good:
1) Very nice mapping
2) Screen quality almost making up for size
3) Easy user interface
4) Lots of features
5) Updates are available

So I had one for three months and sold it because it was just too slow even after the update. I replaced it with the JVC KW-NX7000 because its faster, bigger screen and almost as many features.

I love the visuals and interface but not sure about sound as I have no speakers or amps in the car as of yet. I have hoever, heard it in a GTi that I did a full system install in and it sounded great!

i just did mine today and it is not the said wire, it is the solid white wire. On my 03 anyways. There is only one solid white wire between the three harnesses so you can't miss it. Hope this helps
