Default I'm an Idiot HELP!!!

Hey guys, i've done so much electrical and electronics in the z i know it backwards, BUT today like a dumb ***, I shorted the headunits ACC line. I CAN't find the fuse. The hu has no power (ie the line) and the trip computer along with the dash lights are all out. I've checked every freeken fuse in the driver's well, check the audio and acc fuses in both boxes near the battery. Can't find it!!!. Do you think its the acc relay? i didn't think so since some acc lines line cig power come on.

Please help

Did you actually test the fuses with a continuity tester, or just look at them? On more than one occasion I have seen bad fuses that by eye looked perfect.

Even if it looks bad, either check it with a dmm or replace the fuse anyways. I have seen many good looking fuses gone bad.

Yep, I had the exact same problem. I checked everything, I couldn't ever find the problem. I paid a professional to fix it/install it for $60. It was well worth it.

You're not an idiot, you're a human being who made a mistake. Hope you solve your
predicament soon.

Check the fuses again. Not just by eye, but by continuity tester.

All right guys, for some reason i got a bit smarter today. I'm only posting in case someone else has this problem. The fuse was the mirror fuse!!!, how bizzare. Thanks for telling me to keep checking. Isn't that always the case, lol.

They told me they found two fuses that had been blown. But the guys I was talking to didn't do the work, so he didn't know which two. I'm now guessing that one of them was the mirror fuse!
