Having to replace the JL Audio ZR 650 CSi I had bought for my Z. I have them installed in the behind the seat speaker place but I need some opinions for the door. Have a custom fiberglass panel bought from the guys over at Wicked.
So the Question is: What is a good Component Speaker for the money?
What other component speakers should I consider if any besides the ones in the poll.
Thanks.

Here's my list of what I like better:
Seas Lotus Reference (probably beyond your budget)
DLS Ultimate Nobelium
DLS Ultimate Iridium
Hertz Mille
Even better yet, I'd contact Bing aka 16psibrick and have him make you some custom kick panels with the speakers already installed.

Are you talking about the door pods that Wicked C.A.S. makes? If that's the case you should've just got some Hertz speakers from them when you bought the pods. Anyway I still like those other speakers I listed better than those JL's or MB Quart's.
I voted for the JL's simply because I can't stand MB Quartz. They made so-so German speakers into crappy 'American Designed' but 'Taiwanese Made' speakers. Ew...just ew.
The JL's are still a little too bright for my taste but who am I to IASCA judge?
My favorite new components are the Digital Designs DDA-W6.5 component set made in Germany. Robust mid-bass driver and phenominal tweeter in its owned tuned enclosure. Tweeter can play down to an incredible 800 hz. and handles 150 watts each. Great for an active amplified system. The crossovers are nice but yeah...active baby! Full retail is $599. Thats a bargain when compared to much more expensive sets.
I am using them in my Civic and my Z. Full review to come soon!

Why comment about something and not recommend a different product if your obvious distaste is so forefront? Your comment is totally and utterly useless to this thread.
