Adam do ports have to be on the same side? I've googled it over and over but can't get a concrete answer

Ok so I decided to take on the task of building the box myself to save some bucks. Worst case scenario I just sell the sub and go with a 12w7. Here are some of the pics so far. No rush to finish up fast seeing as though I need a new amp wiring kit.






My question is can I go with 2 4x8in port tubes on each side. Let me know what you think. Thanks you guys
