hate to change the subject but had a question and thought it might be able to be answered here instead of making a new thread. How big is the compartment w/ the sub. I'm planning on replacing my entire system and was wondering could I put my 2 new amps that I will be getting, in there.

The stock sub is 10 inches. You can swap it out with an aftermarket sub but it wont sound much better and the screw down holes may not align with the stock ones and you will have to drill new holes for your new sub. The bose system does have a seperate amp for the sub but its not that powerful and the signal going to it has been "tuned" for the shitty stock sub.
