Replied to you on another thread regarding the Viper 7901 earlier today, it won't be available until early in the 2nd quarter this year. I see you picked up the 5901 which is a great choice, however you might be able to upgrade your remote (and possibly the antenna) to the HD Color Responder when it becomes available without changing the alarm already installed. Drop me a note and I'll send you info when it becomes available. In the meantime you can check out my blog for updates on products from Directed Electronics

Compustar 2 way. It works perfectly fine but the 2 way remote after a year got flakey and doesn't work terribly great now. It still unlocks and everything fine, just the display doesn't seem to display the current status of everything. I wouldn't recommend it

Who installed your alarm?
A professionally installed alarm won't have any cut wires (besides the starter kill) and won't be visible under the dash.
If more then the starter wire is cut and/or you can see the alarm under the dash you did NOT get a professional installation.

subscribe to my blog or just check it out from time to time. I've been given a time table of early Q2 for the release of the 7901 and that's what I've passed on to my dealers. I will post the launch date as soon as I get more info. Once I do shoot me an email and I'll tell you the part numbers you will need to buy to transform your 5901 to a 7901.
